About A-Star Volleyball
A-Star Volleyball Club is one of the most active and
energetic non-profit organizations in Atlanta area. It does not only play competitive
volleyball every week and in many local and inter-state tournaments, it has also actively
involved in various other local and international activities and events. For instance,
A-Star contributed to the International Festival at Georgia Tech by putting on a fabulous
fashion show that presented both the traditional and modern Chinese fashions. The talented
A-Star members also impressed the audience at the Moon Festival at Emory University by
their performance in the "Chinese Palace Dance".
During the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta, the
A-Star Volleyball Club proudly assisted the City of Atlanta in hosting the Chinese Olympic
delegation. The Club members made great efforts in making the Chinese Olympic athletes
feel at home and in helping them to achieve their Olympic goals.
A-Star Volleyball Club also functions as a social club, in
which the members get together from time to time to celebrate holidays and important
events, to enjoy the friendship among its members, and to make new friends.
